JOBS:

Service + Events Coordinator / Bartender

Norseman Distillery is looking for a sharp, dependable, hospitality-minded person to join our team in a hybrid role that combines event coordination, service support, and occasional bartending.

This is not a pure office job, and it’s not a pure bartending job either. We’re looking for someone who can help keep the week organized behind the scenes, make sure event details don’t fall through the cracks, and jump into service when needed.

This role is ideal for someone who likes both hospitality and operations. Someone who notices details, follows through, communicates clearly, and can stay calm when things get busy.

What you’ll do

  • help build and adjust the weekly staff schedule

  • coordinate private event details internally

  • keep event notes, checklists, and service details organized

  • help make sure booked events are set up for success

  • support communication between front of house, kitchen, and management

  • help with floor leadership and service support when needed

  • bartend and take service shifts on occasion

  • help keep standards, timing, and follow-through tight

What we’re looking for

  • hospitality experience

  • strong organization and follow-through

  • good judgment

  • calm, steady communication

  • comfortable talking with both guests and staff

  • able to solve small problems without creating bigger ones

  • reliable, detail-oriented, and self-directed

  • able to work both independently and as part of a team

Big plus if you have

  • bartending experience

  • private event experience

  • scheduling experience

  • shift lead or floor lead experience

  • bar or restaurant operations experience

What this role is not

  • not a full GM role

  • not a pure event sales job

  • not a pure admin desk job

  • not a pure bartender role

Compensation

Part-time to start.
Hourly pay based on experience, with occasional tipped service shifts available.

Operations Support / Batching Assistant

Norseman Distillery is hiring an Operations Support / Batching Assistant to help keep the building stocked, organized, and running smoothly.

This is a hands-on role for someone who likes staying busy, notices details, and takes pride in doing things the right way. The job includes a mix of service support, batching, shopping runs, event setup, stocking, and general operational help across the building.

This is not a bartender role, though it works closely with the bar and kitchen. It is a great fit for someone who likes being useful, can follow systems, and does not mind jumping into whatever needs to get done.

What You’ll Do

  • run food and bus/reset tables during service

  • stock glassware, ice, mixers, and service backups

  • support closers with cleanup and reset

  • help with dish overflow and general support during busy shifts

  • batch cocktails, syrups, and prep items from approved recipes

  • label, date, and organize batched products

  • help with event setup and breakdown

  • complete approved shopping and supply runs

  • receive, unload, and put away product

  • help keep the bar, service areas, and guest spaces clean and organized

  • flag low inventory, shortages, or things that need attention

What We’re Looking For

  • dependable and on time

  • detail-oriented

  • able to follow recipes and systems exactly

  • comfortable with physical work and staying on your feet

  • organized and low-drama

  • able to work independently without constant hand-holding

  • willing to jump into support work wherever needed

  • hospitality, kitchen, bar, warehouse, or event experience is a plus

This Role Is a Good Fit For Someone Who

  • likes staying busy

  • notices what needs to be done without being asked five times

  • takes pride in clean, organized work

  • can handle repetitive tasks well

  • understands that small details matter

  • wants to be part of a team without needing to be the center of attention

This Role Is Not a Good Fit For Someone Who

  • disappears when the dirty work starts

  • wants to freestyle instead of following recipes and systems

  • needs constant supervision

  • thinks support work is beneath them

  • is careless with product, prep, or timing

Schedule

Part-time to start.
Likely a mix of:

  • weekday prep or shopping blocks

  • event setup/breakdown shifts

  • nights and weekends during service

Compensation

Hourly pay based on experience.

Norseman Kitchen Lead

Norseman Distillery is looking for a dependable, organized, low-drama Kitchen Lead to help run a small but important food program inside a busy cocktail bar and event space.

This role is for someone who takes pride in keeping a kitchen clean, stocked, efficient, and under control. We are not looking for someone who wants to build a giant ego-driven menu or turn every shift into an experiment. We are looking for someone practical, consistent, calm under pressure, and capable of helping us run a tight operation.

Our food program needs someone who can execute well, communicate clearly, stay ahead on prep, and help create a kitchen that feels reliable every day.

What this role owns

  • Day-to-day kitchen prep and service

  • Ticket pacing and food consistency

  • Cleanliness, organization, and sanitation

  • Prep lists, par levels, and low-stock awareness

  • Clear communication with bar and floor staff

  • Opening and closing the kitchen correctly

  • Supporting event food execution when needed

  • Helping kitchen support staff stay on track

What success looks like

  • The kitchen is clean, stocked, and ready before service starts

  • Food comes out consistently and on time

  • 86s and prep needs are communicated early

  • The kitchen stays calm and organized even when the room gets busy

  • Problems get solved before they become chaos

What we’re looking for

  • Strong kitchen experience

  • Reliable and on time

  • Able to work independently without constant supervision

  • Calm, steady, and detail-oriented

  • Good pace and strong sense of urgency

  • Clean habits and pride in organization

  • Good judgment around labor, prep, and waste

  • Comfortable working in a small team where everyone matters

Probably a good fit if you are

  • The person who notices what needs to get done without being asked

  • The person who resets a station instead of walking past it

  • The person who likes systems, consistency, and a clean close

  • The person other people trust because you show up and do the work

Probably not a good fit if you are

  • Frequently late

  • Looking for a place where nobody notices details

  • More interested in pitching ideas than executing well

  • Uncomfortable with accountability, cleanliness, pace, or consistency

Lead Bartender, Norseman Distillery

Norseman Distillery is looking for a strong Lead Bartender to help run service, support the team, and set the tone on the floor.

This is not just a “make drinks and cash out” bartending job. We’re looking for someone who can lead by example, stay calm under pressure, keep standards tight, and help make sure the room runs the way it should. The right person is fast, dependable, organized, good with people, and able to notice what needs attention before it becomes a problem.

We want someone who takes real pride in hospitality, clean execution, and running a sharp shift. If your style is more standing around, doing the bare minimum, or waiting to be told every little thing, this is probably not the right fit.

What this role owns

  • Leading bar and floor service during shifts

  • Making excellent drinks with speed and consistency

  • Keeping service organized and moving

  • Helping direct the flow between bar, floor, and kitchen

  • Supporting and coaching less experienced staff

  • Opening and closing thoroughly

  • Keeping the bar clean, stocked, and set up for success

  • Watching for guest issues and solving them early

  • Helping maintain standards around sidework, pace, and professionalism

What success looks like

  • Guests feel taken care of

  • Drinks are fast, consistent, and well made

  • The room feels under control, even when busy

  • Sidework gets done without a bunch of chasing

  • Closes are clean and complete

  • Other staff work better when you’re on the shift

What we’re looking for

  • Strong bartending experience

  • Great hospitality instincts

  • Calm under pressure

  • Dependable and on time

  • Fast, organized, and detail-oriented

  • Able to lead without creating drama

  • Comfortable jumping between bar production and floor awareness

  • Able to work independently and make good decisions

  • High standards for cleanliness, prep, and follow-through

Probably a good fit if you are

  • The one who notices the ice is low, the bathroom needs attention, or the table has been waiting too long

  • The one who actually closes things right

  • The one who can keep the team moving without turning everything into a speech

  • The one guests trust and coworkers rely on

Probably not a good fit if you are

  • Frequently late

  • More interested in hanging out than leading a shift

  • Sloppy with sidework, cash handling, or details

  • Easily rattled when things get busy

  • Looking for a place where standards are loose and nobody notices much
